KRAVs vision is: All production of food is economically, organically and socially sustainable and meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
KRAV is organised as an incorporated association with, at present,
29 members. They represent farmers, processors, trade and also consumer, environmental and animal welfare interests.
Around 4 000 farmers and approximately 2 500 companies in processing and trade are certified according to KRAV´s Standards. At present there are more than 8 300 KRAV-certified products. Five certification bodies carry out inspections according to KRAV standards.
Around the World:
Organic production is present all around the world. KRAV is an active member of IFOAM – International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements, an umbrella organisation which gathers organisations for farmers, scientists, educationalists and certifiers from almost every country in the world. KRAV works to influence the EU regulation of organic production.
KRAV is beyond organic
Companies that are certified accordning to the KRAV standard offer products in all food categories. The KRAV label is based on organic principles but with extra rigorous requirements in areas such as animal welfare, climate impact, health and social responsibility. Therefore KRAV-labelled products are beyond organic or simply "moreganic".
