Anadolu Etap, which was established in cooperation with Anadolu Group, Özgörkey Holding and Brazil-based Cutrale Group, is carrying on its activities with the strategy of being one of Europe’s leading fruit juice producing and fresh fruit growing companies.
They started investing in plantation in 2010 in order to meet the demand of high-quality raw material for their own plants and also the demand in fresh fruit industry. The first sapling was planted in April 23th, 2011. As of August 2015, Anadolu Etap has reached 3.5 million planted fruit trees in five different regions on 6 different farms that are built on a 2.500 ha of land.
At Tahirova Farm, which is the biggest single piece fruit farm in Turkey, peach, nectarine, plum, cherry, pear and apple are being cultivated. With 600 ha of land, Kumkale Farm is the biggest stone fruit farm and peach, nectarine and apricot are being cultivated there. At Karapınar Farm, where 15 different types of apple are being grown, sour cherry is also being grown. 3 different farms in Adana and Urfa are where different classes of fruit types’ adaptation to regional soils and climates is being tested and studies about plantation systems are being carried out and also peach, nectarine, apricot, pomegranate, almond and sour cherry are being grown.
Anadolu Etap aims to reach 10 million fruit trees on a 5000 ha of land in 2020. While sour cherry, apricot, pear, apple, plum, cherry, peach and nectarine trees are being planted on farms, a lot of types and classes of fruit are being grown with different and new methods.
The biggest fruit growth project of Turkey, Anadolu Etap is the first company to publish the Sustainable Agriculture Principles in August, 2014.
In the period of time since its establishment until now, the plants in Mersin and Denizli have reached the maximum fruit processing capacity in Turkey, processing 150.000 tons of fruit in 2014. Anadolu Etap provides continuous service its customers ranging from America to Japan.
Anadolu Etap will harvest the biggest amount of stone fruit in Turkey in 2015 and it is rapidly extending its fresh fruit sales and marketing activities, which started in 2013.
