Long before European settlers arrived in Canada, the First Nations people were enjoying the benefits of maple sap. The use of sap and its importance, for both health and economical reasons was quickly understood by the settlers, especially in Quebec . Today, these settlers's descendants account for more than 70% of the world's maple syrup supply under the supervision and banner of the Federation of Quebec Maple Syrup Producers (FPAQ) and also supply the maple sap in our WAHTA Maple Water.
Before it's made into maple syrup, it's actually maple water - From Tree to You - also known as maple sap, slightly sweet with a subtle maple flavour, that flows naturally out of the trees in the spring - 100% pure and natural, sustainable and renewable.
Every spring, the harvesting occurs where trees are tapped to allow thier sap to flow through a network of tubes to be collected inside the many famed sugar shacks located in Quebec. Within 72 hours of being harvested, it's transferred by tankers trucks to a treatment facility, refrigerated, sterilized and then packaged in eco-friendly Tetra-Paks. This process preserves the natural qualities - sugars, amino acids, organic acids and minerals of the water.
Produced by Mother Nature, this plant-based, single ingredient, functional beverage contains 46+ bioactive compounds: Polyphenols (25+ phenolic constituents), Minerals (9-includes 4 electrolytes), Amino acids(4), Organic acids (8), Phytohormones (3) and has antioxidant capacity. Oooohhh and it's also Free - Gluten free, Diaty Free, Non-GMO, no preservatives and no Added sugar!
Originally from France, Didier Arnaud's long career in sales, marketing and management allowed him to live and work with various cultures in numerous countries around the world but he constantly felt as if something was missing because he always had a desire to manage his own business...but a business that involves nature, part of a growing market and able to be expanded globally.
Being French, his initial desire was winemaking and he studied witiculture and oenology just before he moved to Quebec. After this move, he was introduced to a product that met most of his buisness requirements except that it didn't involve vineyards, vines and grapes instead it involved forests, maple trees and maple sap! The product was WAHTA maple water being produced by a company based in Montreal and created in 2014 and he enjoyed the product so much that he bought the company!
