Its corporate odyssey began without much fanfare in 1981 when it manufactured wood products from timber sourced from its forest concession in Butuan City, Philippines located in the island of Mindanao. The island's abundant natural wealth provides the strong impetus to the Management Team of the Celebes Griup to continually expand it's entrepreneurial endeavors. Celebes focused its vision and energy on becoming a truly diversified quality food supplier to the global market. - from deep sea tuna fishing in 1983 to Banana Chips, Coconut Oil, Desiccated Coconut, Coconut Milk/Cream and Coconut Water.
