For the mise-en-scène of our oils we rely on expert graphic designers who give us advice regarding the launching of our products. We are known and stand out for our black, elegantly dressed bottle and clean white label. Our latest single is made with Hojiblanca olives, absolutely exquisite and stunning, a luxury oil in a new container with a floral and bucolic label, depicting little birds among hibiscus flowers, to which numerous health benefits have been attributed, as is the case with the bottle’s precious content.

DEORTEGAS is a family business that has used Organic farming methods for many generations and has been certified as such for some 30 years. We have always believed in , and promoted, the benefits of organic products and the importance of valuing and supporting producers who work with proper respect for the earth. We are located in Yecla (Murcia) and have three estates of traditionally cultivated, unwatered olive groves (Los Charquillos, Hoya Hermosa and Fuente Negra).
HOW WE PRODUCE OUR OIL
We have developed, and control, all aspects of our oil production: we grow, press, bottle and market our own harvest. We are absolutely rigorous in our production processes. We harvest our olives when they are perfectly ripe and cold press them on the same day. We allow this juice to settle out naturally and the results are spectacular producing harmonious and elegant extra-virgin olive oils.
OUR COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT
At Deortegas we are awore of our responsibility to the earth and the environment that surrounds us. With this in mind we have developed an integrated sustainable model of agriculture making the best possible use of everything that we take from the land and recycling all the by-products of our oil production. We mix the olive residues and tree prunings with natural manure and use it to fertilise our own land organically. We use the olive stones as fuel to provide heating and hot water In our oil mill and the leaves that we collect while washing the olives provide organic livestock feed. This way we create the natural integrated cycle that we consider essential for the future of our world and that forms part of our philosophy as farmers and as a business. All of DEORTEGAS olive oils are certified by the Region of Murcia Organic Farming Council and carry the organic seal of both the region and Europe.
