EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) is a voluntary product certification scheme focusing on the environmental performances for a product, a process or a service, in order to improve their sustainability. EPD is developed in compliance of the UNI ISO 14025:2006 regulation (3rd type eco label); the environmental informations reported are based on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) in compliance with ISO 14040 regulation.

CCPB in collaboration with Soil&More International provides “CO2 Neutral”, a new certification for CO2 offsetting. “CO2 Neutral” minimizes the environmental impact through carbon credits, after having assessed the carbon footprint of a product, process or service. In this way, a company improves its environmental performance and may propose communication strategies from the perspective of Ecodesign.

Consorzio per il Controllo dei Prodotti Biologici (CCPB) was founded in 1988 by a group of companies working on production and distribution of organic agrifood, with the aim of provide rules and guarantee consumers and the market.
Since 2nd of january 2008, all the activities of control and certification were inherited by CCPB Srl, a society controlled by Consorzio il Biologico.
Consorzio il Biologico always had as a primary duty the expansion of their activity creating promotional events about organic world, such as fairs, meetings and editorial press office work.
All companies working in organic agrifood, in compliance with our terms and conditions, can become members of Consorzio. Members can attend all events promoted by Consorzio and, in particular, attend to those trade fairs in wich a group partecipation is organized. Members can use Consorzio il Biologico logo as well on CCPB controlled products and on their communication material.
