Unlike pitahaya that is grown in other parts of the world, our pitahaya benefits from Nicaragua’s nutrient-rich volcanic soil, which is loaded with vitamins and minerals, offering perfect growing conditions for this exotic fruit.
Pitahaya is quickly gaining popularity around the world (especially in the United States) as the next superfruit due to its amazing health benfits. The fruit is packed with vitamins B and C, antioxidants, Omega-3 and Omega-6, and is an excellent source of fiber. In addition to its unique health benefits, pitahaya is unlike any other fruit in color, texture, and taste, making it the perfect ingredient for smoothies, desserts, yogurts, parfaits, and fruit bowls.
All of our pitahayas are 100% natural, without preservatives or added sugar and only the best and ripest fruit is selcted for our frozen puree. Once the fruit is harvested, the pithayas are cleaned, cut, and run through a 0.86mm screen size. The product is then packed and frozen.
The puree is produced under the strictest manufacturing conditions (FSSC22000) in order to ensure maximum quality, flavor, and texture. The product is available as organic, conventional, pasteurized or fresh frozen, and offered in a variety of presentations (100g, 200g, 400g, 1kg, 17kg, 220kg).
