The olive torta-biscuit is a traditional pastry from Andalusia (Spain). San Martín de Porres has been elaborating them for more than 50 years.
Our Eco Torta is baked following the traditional receipt, but using just natural and organic ingredients such as wheat flour, extra virgin olive oil, sunflower oil, sugar, salt, sesame seeds, anise and leavening.
This torta is elaborated following the EU regulations specified in the rule CE 834/2007 and the IFS V6 quality certification.
The manufacturing process is the following: We mix the ingredients above mentioned until getting a homogeneous dough. Then separate it into 30 grams pieces and crush them in order the diameter and thickness to be the appropriate. Sprinkle sugar, bake them for 12-14 minutes and chill them naturally. After the cooling process, Tortas are packed one by one in a 3 units blister. We have been doing this same process since decades.
