The history of the Company began in 1929 when it was an important part of the four villages of Dibrova, Maydanivka, Stremyhorod and Boliarka with a total population of about 700 people - most of them worked for "Zorya" then.
In 1995, the company almost went bankrupt. Material and technical basis was not updated, and the company costs were covered through the sale of assets. Only 15% of the total land bank were cultivated, while the forage crops were predominantly grown.
In 2013, after the acquisition of corporate rights by Irina Kostiushko, the company entered on a new stage of development. The cultivated land rapidly began to expand, the motor pool was upgraded by 85%. So, today, the company cultivates 98% of the total land bank.
Impressive results reached by the Agricultural Company Zorya in a relatively short time encourage the management for new challenges.
Organic production was chosen as a key motion vector of the Agricultural Company Zorya.
An Organic Certificate granted by the “Organic Standard” in 2017 is a major step in achieving the objectives of the company.
Main product - organic hemp and organic flax, but nowadays company started processing and bottling oil by proper trade mark - "Zorya"
The "Flax Festival" , a scientific and entertaining event, is first held in Ukraine at the initiative of Irina Kostiushko, the Zorya’s owner and ideological mastermind.The Agricultural Company Zorya is the general sponsor of this event.
More than 5,000 guests from all over Ukraine and abroad visit the event each year. The guests include farmers from Ukraine and all over the world, heads of regional administrations, representatives of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and Ukrainian Government.
At the festival farmers and scholars have the opportunity to participate in a flax growing conference. There are various venues, exhibitions, fairs and workshops for children and adults. The festival features a concert program (Ukrainian folk art and modern Ukrainian music). Energetic hosts combines various contests, sweepstakes, surprises with performances of folklore and theater groups.
The festival is aimed at drawing attention to flax growing and popularizing the industry worldwide.
