Khao Kai Noy, the literal meaning in Lao is "Small Chicken Rice", originates from the Northern part of Laos. KKN is aromatic glutinous (sticky) rice type having round and thick shape like Japanese rice. It has soft texture after cooked with nice aroma. There are many varieties of KKN in Laos such as KKND and KKNL.
