The IOAS is a non-profit accreditation body established in 1997 to support the continued growth of the organic market by providing a transparent and respected system of assessment of competence of certification bodies against nationally and internationally-agreed standards.
We are committed to providing a quality service of high integrity at the lowest possible costs to certification bodies and work all over the world providing accreditation, equivalence assessment, training and information services .
We currently assess certification bodies with activity in: animal welfare, organic agriculture and aquaculture, sustainable agriculture, sustainable fisheries, social justice, fair trade, food safety, content claims, recycled content, organic and natural cosmetics and organic textiles.

We are designated by the CFIA as a Conformity Verification Body under the Canada Organic Regime. The USDA National Organic Program (NOP) and the Canadian Organic Regime (COR) have an organic standards equivalency agreement which covers the use of the USDA NOP logo.
The IOAS is a founding member of ISEAL, a member of the Pacific Accreditation Cooperation and an International Accreditation Forum signatory member for product certification.
