Pure Vanilla is a Malagasy family company since 1978 that produces organic and fairtrade natural vanilla beans and supplies local and export markets. Our main vanilla curing and warehousing operations are located in Sambava. We source our vanilla directly from SAVA region farmers.
Our goal is to develop a sustainable, traceable, and high quality supply chain that respects the integrity of natural ecosystems and helps to improve the living conditions of the vanilla growing communities established in the SAVA region. in Madagascar.
Quality, fairness, respect for people and their environment: at Pure Vanilla, we choose an entirely responsible approach. We are certified organic by Lacon and fairtrade by Flocert. By putting people at the heart of the liberal economic system, fairtrade tends to restore the ecological balance and allows a leap forward in the quality of vanilla.
Our current sustainable development projects concern our pilot partner village of Andranovato, located 50 km from Sambava, home to 575 people, and from the Lavarondra independent planters association:
- We have set up the first well in the village to provide adequate and efficient sanitation facilities in the village of Andranovato, located a few hours from the water points.
- We installed a library inside the village school. We also provided teachers with a solar computer to introduce students to computer science and provided them with textbooks to help them improve their curriculum.
- Solar lights, raincoats and protective shoes help farmers protect their crops from thieves during the rainy season.
