Satya International is a Nepal based company that aims to bring the goodness of the Himalayas to the world. It was founded in the year 1995 by Mr. Rabindra Nath Shukla and Mrs. Satyawati Shukla. With an experience of more than 15 years in the field of herbs and spices, this couple decided to launch a social enterprise that would help bring Nepal on the world market map. Through this enterprise, they also empower farmers in the mountains and the local women. The team currently comprises of 15 people out of which 8 are local women.
Currently, the company exports its herbs, spices and essential oils to Asian, European and American markets. Because of the local connect, the company is able to procure high quality products straight from the farmers and villagers. A lot of the products are wild collected, and in Nepal there is a policy that each community or village takes care of the forests in their jurisdiction. This ensures traceability of products, and healthy harvesting. The harvested produce is then brought to the warehouse of the company and processed and packaged by experts.
Satya International takes special care in bringing the goodness of the Nepalese mountains to the customers. Hence, the products are carefully collected and stored to retain their natural essence. The company promises to deliver products customized based on the needs of the customer. A thorough understanding of the requirement is done before processing and packaging of the products. Satya also believes in growing with the community, hence, any purchase made with the company impacts the lives of the families of 50+ farmers in the remotest parts of Nepal.
