OLIOVE is an organic extra virgin olive oil of superior quality, from Nocellara of Belice olives.
The olive groves from which our oil comes are located in the territories around Campobello di Mazara and Menfi, in the South-West coast of Sicily, a strip of land kissed by the sun, which evokes unique charms and which is becoming one of the best olive growing areas in the world.
The favourable climate and the particular conformation of the territory, together with the use of sustainable cultivation systems, make this olive oil a product with excellent organoleptic and nutraceutical properties.
Typical of this area is the traditional local variety Nocellara of Belice, a firm and crunchy olive, with an intense taste. The oil has a moderate-intensity fruity flavour, a fresh and intriguing scent, with hints of artichoke, chicory and aromatic herbs. It has a genuinely balanced harmonious bitter and spicy blend taste, suitable for everyone's palate and very versatile. It can be used to prepare a variety of dishes, because it is excellent both raw and in cooking.
The olives are hand-picked, placed in 20 kg wooden boxes and pressed within 6 hours. The oil is coldextracted through a process of temperature-controlled production that aims at maintaining the organoleptic characteristics of the oil.
OLIOVE is an ethical, sustainable and organic extra virgin olive oil. We have chosen to produce an organic olive oil because choosing organic products means taking care of the environment and of themselves. The growing is made through sustainable methods to protect the biodiversity of the territory; no use of fertilizers and pesticides which can damage the soil and the environment is allowed. Organic olive oil is then guarantee of a healthy and surely more natural product. Moreover, just because fertilizers are not used, it has a higher content of natural antioxidants, a better acidity and more beneficial properties.

Scirocco Ethical Sales Management has been established in Menfi (AG), Sicily, by Samantha Di Laura with the aim of helping Sicilian growers to create value for their products.
Samantha Di Laura has an expansive experience in the Italian and international food and wine market. A the age of only 25, she began working as Export Area Manager for Euricom S.p.A. (Curtiriso), the largest European rice company of that period, in charge of the Middle East market and the development of the extra-European one. At the age of 31, she was called to Seville by Ebrofoods (Herba Ricemills), where she deepened the Brand Management and the coordination of a network of international exports. Diego Planeta led her to Sicily in Settesoli Winery, that she left to establish Scirocco Ethical.
In October 2016, she started his own project OLIOVE, with the specific aim of protecting, promoting and spreading the culture of high quality, ethic and sustainable extra virgin olive oil. Sicilian, first of all. A product with unbelievable nutraceutical properties.
Man is always at the centre of our strategies, from the farmer, who requires the fair compensation for his work, to people who use the product to take pleasure and health from it.
Our will is to expand our farm and production, by creating a network of young, ethical and "sustainable" farmers. Our dream is leaving this world a little better than how we have found it.
