This Chewing gum from The Humble Co. is brought to you by dentists who care about your oral health, our environment and children in need of oral care.
Chewing gum is not just for fresh breath. It has health benefits that have been widely studied.
Chewing gum increases the flow of saliva. Saliva naturally protects our teeth by maintaining the pH of the mouth and preventing minerals in our tooth enamel from dissolving. Chewing a piece of gum after eating helps clean the teeth of debris and neutralize the acids released by the bacteria in plaque. If we didn’t have saliva, our teeth would rapidly decay!
The ingredients of the gum are important because they enter the body through the walls of your mouth. And, because chewing gum remains in your mouth longer than the food you eat or drink, you are actually bathing your teeth in the ingredients. That’s why it’s important to chew a gum free of sugar.
Xylitol is an all-natural sweetener derived from fruits, vegetables, and plant fibers. (Humans even produce small amounts of it via normal metabolism.) Our xylitol is sourced from the birch tree. Xylitol is a substance that is categorized as a polyol. The polyols’ structure gives them the ability to stimulate the sweet taste receptors on the tongue. The glycemic index (a measure of how quickly foods raise blood sugar) is only 7, compared to regular sugar, which has a glycemic index of 60-‐70. Therefore, none of the harmful effects of sugar apply to xylitol.

The Humble Brush handle is made out of 100% biodegradable bamboo which naturally provides a non-slip surface. Humble brush features an ergonomic grip and it’s sleek and timeless design makes it the perfect must-have accessory in every bathroom.
Did you know that bamboo is not a tree but the fastest growing plant on earth? It is naturally antibacterial which means that there is no need to use fertilizers or pesticides during its cultivation.
We think it’s important to be transparent. Our bamboo is naturally grown to the desired height and is harvested in mainland in China. The processing, production and packaging are all done by hand. The bamboo gets cut into strips, steamed and stripped of the tough outer layer. It dries in the sun and then gets cut into workable pieces. The outside of the material gets stripped again, and the sides are hand-crafted to form the optimal shape. Holes are drilled into the head, the entire brush is sanded and our logo is laser burned into the handle. It is treated with natural wax and the bristles are inserted. After packaging your Humble Brush is ready for shipping.
