The focus is set on maximising the benefits for the customer. This is why Lotties with its direct distribution system is in constant contact with the customer in order to realise their wishes immediately.
A network of qualified representatives is the basis of our success. Due to constant training our employees maintain a high level of specialised knowledge. Internally motivated employees build a group that serve as the means of communication between the distribution, customer and production.
Our own production at several sites by trained tailors guarantee high quality products and speedy availability.
The diaper pants made of hydrophilic cotton jersey for clinics or the micro fibre slip-over pants that can be boiled are examples of innovation. The result is a wide, fully developed and continually improved program that meets up to the present growing demands.
Modern semiautomatic devices ensure flexibility. Despite this, manual action can be taken to ensure quality. In small teams with one master craftswoman a product orientation is achieved.
Mistakes are minimised by means of employee quality circles and the quality control that follows, done by a team of specialists, ensures correct end products. Continuous testing of the products for absorbency, wetting and the rate of absorbency by the TÜV Bavaria ensure a high quality standard. Our expertise is proven by several patents and useful model patents for diaper pants, inlays and sleeping bags.
As a company in the enviromental-protection area we set ourselves a high standard of responsibility here.
One of the results of this high niveau is that in the magazine "Öko-Test" awarded our products (diaper pants, carrying shawl, sleeping bag, etc.) with the tag "recommended". All slip-over pants are coated with polyurethane in a process which is at present the kindest to the environment. Chlorine compounds with dioxins and furanes are therefore avoided.
Our reserves of natural resources are dwindling. It is more important than ever to household with these reserves.
Many parents raise their babies to become producers of garbage. A survey of the garbage in the community of Goldkronach proved that 13.8 percent of the refuse was made up of baby diapers. According to a press release from the Verbraucherzentrale Berlin (Jan. 1996), a child uses up to 6.750 disposable diapers (price approx. 1.500 EUR) until it is potty trained. During this time 1.500 kg of refuse are created. The incineration of this refuse costs tax payers another 300,-- EUR (EPEA survey, Jan. 1996). The cellulose for the production of disposable diapers in Germany is imported from Canada and Scandinavia. The trees come from clear cutting areas.
That is why we decided to develop an easy to handle diaper system that is kind to the environment and the skin. This system has been patented in the meantime. Our own children acted as our godfathers. Midwives and children's nurses recommended the products and a distribution system was founded that meanwhile has expanded all over Europe.
With our diaper system responsible parents achieve
- 90 percent less raw material consumption and refuse, as well as
- 47 percent less costs and continuous availability.
According to orthopaedists, the diapers force the hips apart and contribute to their optimal development. Furthermore, children are potty trained earlier and many paediatrics and dermatologists diagnose a healthier skin.
The company's environmental concept is also in the interest of nature:
- our raw materials are tested against harmful substances
- we only use recycling paper
- we avoid superfluous packaging and fillings
We believe that a healthy environment is our children's capital for the future.
