Historically farmer since 1984, Mrs LACAZE and Mr MELIET have been oriented towards organic production since 1992. The farm has been growing steadily to this day. She now works 2000 ha 100% in organic farming. Still to meet the demand of our customers and the palette to the lack of organic storage units in the area of Armagnac countries where organic farms are numerous, we decided to create in 2014 our own storage silo exclusively reserved for Organic production. What we now allow at all stages of production until departure for the final customer. And so to provide cereals, oleo-protein crops and dried vegetables with complete traceability to industrialists and wholesalers in the food market.
Bio Gascogne Thanks to its development based on a quality system guaranteeing the complete traceability of the seedling until the shipment of the crops is committed to a gluten-free approach, In 2016, the productions of two of our farms have been certified Bio Suisse Organic By International Bio Suisse AG (ICB). In 2017, two other farms, as well as all our vineyards, will be certified. This will bring our area to 1 000 ha, not 60 ha of vines.
In 2016, BIOGASCOGNE chose a part of its biodynarnic farms (DEMETER). We currently have 600 hectares certified in biodynamics. In 2017, 4 farms will be certified for a total of 1 000 ha. Our vineyard (60 ha) is also driven in biodynamics. In order to be autonomous and to have a faster response capacity, we have created a mobile dynamization station with a treatment capacity of 100 ha.
