Our winery was founded in 1999. We initially started with the distribution of mead (alcoholic beverage created by fermenting honey with water) in bottles, however, we soon realised the great potential of marketing in canisters and barrels, especially for the gastronomic sector. Over the years, we have expanded the classic mead assortment now including exclusive honeywines made of one specific and pure sort of honey, as well as those with special different flavours. As a result, there has been a noteworthy and significant increase in the number of German and foreign partners.
Our most important basic principles in the honey-wine manufacturing technology are the stable quality and the preservation of the classical traditions, such as the observance of the fermentation time and aging in the barrels. The special feature of our production processes is characterised by the use of recipes and production secrets, which have been passed on for generations. We thereby pay particular attention to the quality of our basic raw material – the honey. We always ensure that our high quality standards are adhered to by our suppliers. Laboratory-technical examinations, as well as the quality control on site at the producer are indispensable for us.
Over the past 20 years, we have distributed our honeywine on the international market, through our own efforts and without taking out any form of a loan. Our winery has developed dynamically over the past few years and is constantly expanding. The success is reflected in our international customer base. Our products are predominantly purchased by customers in the European region, for example from Austria, Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic, Belgium and Switzerland. Since 2015, we are also present in the Asian region, through a distribution partner who is in charge of the sale in Hong Kong.
In Germany, our products are purchased by small and medium-sized trade companies. The direct marketing however still plays a major role. We thereby always offer customised solutions to our business customers, such as the design of their own labels, various bottle shapes and / or the use of their own honey as a basis for their mead.
We also take part in local and foreign medieval festivals and trade fairs, where we can personally present our mead and our business philosophy.
