The Agricoltural Cooperative Society “L'Olio Di Blera” is born in 2014 on April, thanks to Università Agraria of Blera. Then other 130 little productors of oil and truffles in Blera were added. They all want to promote typicality, tradition and genuine products.
The oil mill is completely new, and it is composed by a cold extraction and two phases system ( without added water) , situated in open country.
The cooperative has chosen to practice the processing of singular lots, allowing productors to work only their olives of their own plants.
Some cooperative partners practice the biologic agriculture.
The truffle, biologic and natural product, is mostly the black estival truffle( tuber aestivum), with little quantity of black wintry truffle(tuber moschatum) and white truffle(tuber borchii). It is picked up in public woods and packaged, fresh, in extra virgin olive oil.
