Schümann's gummed tapes from the Green K2/KF2-Tape series are made without exception from renewable raw materials. The adhesive coating is extracted from potato starch and the wood used for the production of the Kraft paper originates from sustainably managed EU forests and the four reinforcement fibers are made from purely organic raw materials.
In combination with the cardboard packaging, this sealing product gives your organic products an exemplary eco-balance.
Thanks to the innovative scrim of the Green K2/KF2-Tape Series, Schümann has succeeded in presenting an optimal and sustainable protection for medium weight cardboard packaging.
While the two extremely tear resistant reinforcement yarns of the Green K2/KF2, which are also positioned in parallel, protect both the cover of the cardboard packaging and its edges, the two twisting threads also prevent access through the opening slot.
Everything else about theses gummed tapes from Schümann is also ecological and environmentally friendly. This is something the visitors of the BioFach 2016 can convince themselves at the company's trade fair stand 6-271 in Hall 6: the paper strips are stuck to the cardboard packaging without using any chemicals and simply through moistening with water.
Whether non-reinforced or reinforced with natural filament, the market currently offers no other sealing product which corresponds so consistently to sustainability requirements, all the way from its production, to its processing to its disposal, and which is as economical at the same time.
