The group La Finestra sul Cielo was founded in Turin (Italy) in 1978 to provide high quality organic food and develop products that would improve the lives of consumers and the environment. Aware of the importance of food to our health, we work every day to ensure the best taste and maximum welfare of our customers. Our products are prepared without sugar, milk or eggs.
All product ingredients come from organic farming and undergo an exhaustive selection process. In the preparation of organic foods, the use of chemical and synthetic substances (insecticides, pesticides, herbicides…) is not allowed and certification ensures the use of natural and organic techniques only, free of GMOs, preservatives, dyes and hydrogenated fats. All items used, from the seed to the final product, are certified by an officially recognized inspection body.
Purchase of Quinua Real® brand
In January 2.011 the group La Finestra sul Cielo purchased the Brazilian company Quinua Real®, leader of the Royal Quinoa organic sector in the Latin American countries, to import and sell products made of Royal Quinoa and to make Royal Quinoa properties and benefits known throughout the world. With this commercial operation the group La Finestra sul Cielo has positioned itself as one of the leading distributors of Royal Quinoa in Europe and in major commercial centres in South-East Asia and the Middle East.
All products of the brand Quinua Real® are fairly traded and certified Gluten Free and Vegan. They are made with organic Royal Quinoa, a variety found only in the areas around the Uyuni Salt Flats and Coipasa in Bolivia, at altitudes above 3.600 meters. The association producing the Royal Quinoa is ANAPQUI (The National Association of Quinua Producers) a non-profit organization witch invests the profits of food export of this pseudo-cereal towards the improvement of living conditions of farmer and the local community.
Export and R&D
The group La Finestra sul Cielo, along with Quinua Real® brand, have developed a business strategy based on two pillars. On the one hand, to convert the Quinua Real® brand into a global brand trough export growth. On the other, the commitment to research and development of new products. An example of innovation and development is the creation in 2013 of the first and only syrup of the world made of Royal Quinoa. It was presented at international exhibitions such as BioFach, Sial Canada and the Restaurant & Bar Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.
