Schnitzer is a family owned business. The company was established in 1968 by Dr. Schnitzer, a dentist who was a passionate in whole food eating. Therefore he developed the first household grain mills and became a pioneer in the mill market, which the company - almost 50 years later- still sells today!
In the following years the company expanded its business and started producing healthy organic and gluten-free foods. Schnitzer´s aim is to offer balanced and high quality food for people focused on healthy nutrition, especially those suffering from gluten-intolerance.
We are known for our gluten-free organic range, which we produce ourselves in our production in Offenburg, situated in the Black Forest, Germany. Besides gluten and lactose, we also try to avoid other allergens like soya, nuts, eggs or yeast. Most of the products are also free of palm-oil.
As an expert in this field we are well positioned in the European gluten-free market. For example we can provide organic and gluten-free sliced breads, cookies and savoury crackers with 12 months shelf life, suitable for the Export market. Schnitzer Bräu, an organic and gluten-free beer completes the range.
