Good Herdsmen today represents the production of some 200 certified organic farmers and has grown to become the largest dedicated organic meat processors in Ireland and the U.K. The company also winter finish 1,300 organic cattle, guaranteeing supply all year round.
Our organic Beef production is based on steers and heifers processed at under 36 months. All livestock graze a continious diet of fresh organic grass and Clover. Beef carcasses are hip hung just after slaughtering to ensure maximum eating quality.
A recent success has been the Angus Organic retail steak range. Newly launched in one of Germany's largest organic supermarkets, it is proving very popular. Grass-fed Beef in a newly re-branded packaging and extra matured for extra taste, positions it rightfully as an Irish speciality product with the added bonus of organic credentials.
