Sacha inchi oil is obtained from the Inka-peanut, an herbaceous climbing plant, growing 500 to 1.000 m high in the tropical rain forests of Peru. It is known as the edible oil with the most unsaturated fatty acid and is therefore highly valuable from a nutritional perspective.
