Just like for good coffee or wine, a lot of love and detailed knowledge are required so that extremely tasty food can be produced from selected cocoa beans. They must be harvested, have the pulp removed and be carefully fermented and dried at exactly the right time. After dozens of processing steps – they are personally organised and monitored by PRONATEC employees – cocoa mass, cocoa butter or cocoa powder are produced. Cocoa mass and cocoa butter, for their part, are used to produce chocolate.
Pronatec offers fine flavor cocoa beans from Peru, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Panama and Madagascar amongst others. All beans are sourced through our integrated supply chain as directly as possible from farmer cooperatives. We also have processed the cocoa beans in one of the most modern facility in Europe and offer a selection of high-quality cocoa mass, powder and butter to the food processing industry. With advice and top quality, we have assisted in the production of many highly successful “Grand Cru” and “Single Origin” products.
