DMH Deutsche Melasse Handelsgesellschaft mbH trades in conventional and certified organic agricultural products within and across national borders around the world – a business that has rewarded us with steady growth over the years. Having built up a strong classic volume business, we are now focusing on creating and developing niche segments, particularly in the area of organic certified and GMO-free agricultural products.
While the majority of our customers are based in Europe, we do business across a whole range of regions. The same holds true on the supply side: we source products both within Europe and beyond, including regions such as Central and South America.
As well as making trades, DMH organises the logistics of getting the agricultural raw materials from the country of origin to the customer in the country of import. This enables us to directly monitor product quality at all stages of processing, storage and transportation. What’s more, our regionalised distribution warehouses guarantee rapid delivery to our customers.
Needless to say, our products meet the highest standards of quality. For instance, our organic raw materials are inspected and certified by IMO (Institute for Marketecology), one of the leading (EC) No. 834/7007-licensed organic certification bodies operating in Germany. DMH will also be certified in accordance with standards set by Bio Suisse and the National Organic Program (NOP) of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The markets in which we operate, such as the sugar business, are currently undergoing major structural change as a result of many factors, including tighter regulations and new rules around GMOs and certified organic products.
