Fruits of peanuts contain from 40 to 59% of a non-drying fatty oil, up to 35% of easily digestible proteins, starches, sugars, saponins, vitamins B, E, D, pantothenic acid, biotin, glutenins.

Peanuts are rich in antioxidants, which makes it one of the effective means of preventing cardiovascular diseases along with red wine, strawberries, blackberries and pomegranate. Peanuts do not contain any cholesterol. Peanut is an excellent source of folic acid, which promotes cell renewal. Contained in it fats have a mild choleretic effect and are useful for gastritis and peptic ulcer. Peanuts improve memory and attention, it is also useful for the normal functioning of the nervous system, heart, liver and other internal organs. Fruits stimulate blood clotting and increase the formation of platelets.Peanut has a beneficial effect on potency, improves attention and memory, raises the threshold of auditory sensitivity. The fruits of peanuts are useful for severe exhaustion and severe illness. Peanuts enhance the feeling of satiety due to the high content of protein in it, it is the basis of diets for weight loss and is very popular among show business stars and models.

Peanut butter does not irritate the skin and is therefore used for the manufacture of a wide variety of medicines in the form of ointments and emulsions. Caloric content of peanuts is from 551 to 590 kcal (depending on the variety).
