Hemp seed dehulling technology: the hemp seeds are carefully dehulled, fine particles are removed and the hemp shells are separated
OUR COMPETENCE: OPTIMAL DEHULLING RESULTS
Using best technologies we separate the sensitive hemp seeds very gently from their hard shell. Before peeling process the delivered hempseeds are dusted off as pre-cleaning.
Then our impact dehuller uses a continuous, smooth and perfectly controlled process which leads to excellent dehulling hemp seeds and ensures low fines production.
After screening of hemp fines, hemp shells are separated by air. In our company we process only hemp, thus, any contact with cereal allergens is excluded. To reach highest quality of the final products there is a destoner and metal separator integrated during the production process.
Because of our high care and experience we are able to respond the specific needs of hemp seeds.
For more than twenty years we work with hemp in Austria, from cultivation to processing the whole plant as food, building material or animal feed. As one of the first companies worldwide we developed the hemp hulling machine. We currently process around 200 tons of hemp seeds yearly. Because of popular demand, we created capacities for hulling hemp in contract work.
By-products of hemp dehulling
By-products fine-goods consist of small fragments (< 1 mm), which are sifted out during the dehulling process. They are packed in 10kg PP bags or in a big bag. Fine goods can be used as a protein animal feed or in cooking as a flavour enhancer in cooking and baking, although there are small pieces of husks in the hemp-fines.
Hemp husks: the shells are preferable filled in big bags of up to approx. 450 kg. Hemp shells are primarily used as raw fibre feed.
