Our coconut sugar is naturally processed according to organic agriculture guideline without any artificial food additives, free of artificial flavors or colorings, chemicals, bleaching, anti-fermenting agent or preservatives. The process has not been changed since Millenia ago, we only integrated it with modern standards of quality control!
Coconut sugar is minimally-processed sugar and is 1 to 1 replacement to cane sugar. Compared to most sugar or other sweetener, it contains a higher variety of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids and has lower glycemic index (GI) of 35. The flavor is rich and full-bodied without being overly sweet or cloying.
We are sad to recognize that Indonesia coconut sugar industry are infamous of its adulteration. Meaning that the coconut sugar is mixed by cheaper cane sugar in cooking process. We find it dreadful that customers are being sold a product which is not what it claims to be. in stand up to this matter, we have had our sugar independently tested by Eurofins lab in using advanced isotope testing developed to detect any addition or mixed sugar.
