Matcha is a variety of very high quality pure green tea (Camellia Sinesis), which is traditionally used in the ceremonies of Zen Buddhist monks for over 800 years. Matcha grows in the shade of centuries-old plantations in the mountains and surrounded by trees and forest in Uji-Tawara, in the Kyoto province (Japan), where one of the best teas in the world is produced. Its preparation is carried out through traditional milling methods, in stone mills at a speed of only 30 grams per hour, in order to obtain the maximum amount of chlorophyll.
