It has its sunny home deep in the South of Italy: Our BIO PLANÈTE Olive Oil from Italy, Dauno Gargano D.O.P. (»Denominazione d’Origine Protetta«, protected designation of origin). Ogliarola olives make up the largest part of this fine cuvée (blend). Since 2003, we have a loyal partnership with our supplier from the Apulia region in Southern Italy. Our supplier looks back on a history spanning four generations. On the limestone-rich land characteristic for this region, the olives mature in a hot and arid climate, resulting in an especially potent and complex aroma.
Intense and tangy in taste, this oil will surprise you with subtle notes of green apple and almond. A few drops sprinkled on warm goat’s cheese or grilled pepperoncini show the oil’s Italian refinement. The harmonically balanced blend is also particularly good with pasta, salad, seafood, or pizza.
