Bioreal’s success story – how it all started
Already at the start of the 1980s, Agrano AG in Switzerland commissioned the first research for the development of purely organic yeast. Even then, there was demand for a product for manufacturing consistently organic bakery products and purely organic end-products. Together with universities and colleges, organic yeast was developed as a world product innovation, which is now produced in a world-wide unique process.
In 1995, the first production of Bioreal® organic yeast began in a pilot facility, and the product could be tested under market conditions. Shortly after, the pilot facility could no longer meet the unexpectedly fast-growing demand for organic yeast. In 1996, Agrano GmbH & Co. KG was founded in Riegel (Germany) and a new industrial production line was built. In 2010, a new production site with over 8.500 m² of production and storage area was opened – with the best prerequisites for successful further development of the company.
