The variety of Turkish sun dried apricots is Prunus armeniaca L. and called as "Şekerpare”. The origin of this fruit is Malatya, which is located in Eastern Anatolia Region. Drying process begins by reaping of fresh and ripe fruits from the trees into the cases; it continues with sulphur dioxide cure for 2 or 3 days which is applied only for sulphured apricots, whilst this application is not done to traditionally sun dried apricots; and then dried under the sun; the semi-dried fruits are pitted by hand. The raw materials are transported to our plant and stored in our warehouses until processing in our facility. All apricots are mechanically washed, dried in oven to reach the optimum moisture content, and inspected on the lighted belt and tables to remove any foreign material and defects. Whole pitted apricots are packed into cartons and metal detected for final check. The apricots contain no other additives. This process takes place under the highest standards of hygiene and good manufacturing practices. We process apricots as natural, sulphured or organic; as wholes, diced and paste and have various packing alternatives for industries, food services and retailers.

Additionally, in accordance to our Ready to eat/Pausterisation line, we are also able to process and pack in different packaging formats high moisture apricots without any preservative.

Apricots are great for snacking and baking and also great additions to yogurts, ice creams, deserts, cakes and salads.

Fig is one the world’s oldest fruit, alternatively called as “sacred fruit” in many different cultures and religions. The motherland of figs known as Ciara Region is located in Western Turkey and now named as Aegean Region. Apart from this, fig is entirely used as a great cure for human metabolism as the dietary fibers that the fruit contains help the digestion system to clean the body. The variety of Turkish sun dried figs is Ficus carica and called as "Sarılop".  The origin of this fruit is Aydın, a certain area within the Aegean Region. Because of the climate of this area, figs have thin skin and high honey content which are differentiating characteristics from other varieties. Sun dried figs are firstly fumigated, then after sizing they are selected under UV lights to remove the fruits contaminated by aflatoxin. Figs are mechanically washed with salty water, dried in oven, if required, to reach the optimum moisture content, and inspected on tables to remove any foreign material and defects like mouldy, spoilt or damaged. Selected high quality figs are X-ray scanned and packed into cartons in natural form, or manipulated and packed into different packagings depending on the customer's requests. Finally, they are metal detected before release. Figs contain no other additives. This process takes place under the highest standards of hygiene and good manufacturing practices.

We are currently processing the figs for the industries and the food services as wholes (natural or manipulated, ornagic), diced, strips and paste in the bulk packaging and in many different types of packaging for the retail industry. 

Additionally, in accordance to our Ready to eat / Pausterisation line, we are also able to process and pack in different packaging formats high moisture figs without any preservative. 

The variety of Turkish dried mulberry is Morus alba. Whole and part oval fruit with stalks attached.      

 Stalks to either be present or absent. Dark yellow to light brown in colour. Mulberries do not contain      

 any other additives. Country of origin is Turkey. GMO free. No ionisation is applied. No known allergen is included.

K.F.C. GIDA ‘s starting point in the food business has actually been with sultanas / raisins. Turkey has the most suitable conditions for growing of vine and that’s why that it’s known as the country origin of vines.    Growing of grapes has been a part of Anatolian culture for many centuries. We are proud of being one of Turkey’s largest dried fruits processors and exporters. Since 1993, we are serving a large customer portfolio from the world’s largest groups with the measurable and ready to use specifications, absolute free flowing products, ready soaked fruits and many others that we have presented to the market. Processed Sultanas are dried seedless grapes of the Vitis Vineferat variety.  The Sultanas are prepared from clean and sun dried grapes produced along our own handling procedures by selected growers. All bulk sultanas are stemmed, cap-stemmed, and washed, sized, mechanically cleaned, laser-scanned, X-Ray scanned, and metal detected. Sultanas are coated with vegetable oil in order to avoid clumping. The fruit is in absolutely free flowing condition (AFF). This process takes place under the highest standards of hygiene and manufacturing practise.

Additionally, in accordance to our Ready to eat /pausterisation line, we are also able to process and pack in different packaging formats high moisture sultanas /raisins without any preservatives.

Together with the other fruits such as orange & lemon peels, glace cherries, currants, we are preparing fruit medleys for both retailers and industries.

Dried Fruits & fruit medleys are great additions to the breakfast cereals, chocolates, pastries, breads, cakes, sauce, salads and dressings.

Dried tomatoes are produced from round, whole, ripe, red fresh tomatoes, which are selected, washed with water, halved, salted or sulphated (according to customer request), then sun dried under controlled conditions; as known sun drying is one of the oldest process tradition for many different items. Dried tomatoes are packed and stored in our cold warehouses at +4 / +7 o C for uniform red colour retention and microbiological protection. This also helps us to have available product year – round with a consistent quality. Flavour of reconstituted product is characteristic of fresh tomato without off taste.

We are able to process sun dried tomatoes as Halves, Julienne strips and Diced. Besides this our ready to eat/pasteurised or marinated sun dried tomatoes save time and need no further processing. We are able to adjust the cuts, content, colour and the packaging according to the customer requirements.

Traditionally all sun-dried tomatoes are packed in different sized vacuum packs in order to maintain the freshness of the product.

The sun-dried tomatoes are an excellent topping for the pizzas and also can be added in the soups, casseroles, dips and tomato based dishes. They add flavour and colour to all your recipes.
