At chufas bou we have been dedicated to exclusively growing tiger nuts since 1946. In 2012, all our company-owned fields received their organic agriculture certification, allowing us to control end-to-end production, from the planting of the seed to supplying our customers with a high quality product.
Located in Puzol, the company has 23,000m2 of modern facilities, 8000m2 of which are used for the delicate process of drying tiger nuts. Our interior drying system, the largest of its kind, allows us to produce a quality product during the 3-6 months of curation. It is during this process, where we still follow some of the traditional methods employed since our beginnings in 1946, where our tiger nuts acquire their unique, well-balanced and naturally sweet flavour.
The exceptional taste achieved, along with the refined selection process we make has differentiated us from our competitors for many years, allowing us to work with the best tiger nut drink and ice-cream artisans and most important industries in Spain. To this date, we also export to more than 20 countries around the world.
In 2013, we opened L’Obrador de Bou, the first certified organic artisanal ice cream and tiger nut drink workshop in Valencia.
