We hand select extra big cashew kernels, carefully roast them and while still warm, we powder them with fine rock salt.
In 1998, with the idea to produce a delicious organic ice cream on the base of premium nut butters and which at the same time would be lactose free and suitable for vegans, the Eisblümerl founder went out to find a striking brand name.
It was self-suggesting, to combine ice bear and ice cream. As this bear also symbolizes the purely vegetable base of the ice cream and the love for nature, he holds a small flower in his paw. And here it was, the brand name Eisblümerl, meaning little ice flower.
In those days, sustainability was still quite uncommon and organic foodstuffs were niche products.
Nowadays, we have developed to specialist producers of premium nut creations in many delightful variations.
And this is how we produce with a good portion of love new gluten free, fructose free, lactose free, vegetarian and vegan purées from nuts, seeds and fruit, chocolate spreads and many more delicious temptations.
We only use premium, environment-friendly packing material: twist-off glass jars with PVC free lids and recyclable cartons for the transport. Glass has many recycling possibilities and, in comparison to plastic, glass does not affect the contents. Compostable organic packing chips made from vegetable starch, brand Biobiene, are used as fill material in our cartons.
