Rosemary, thyme, oregano, marjoram and savory are combined with our Flor de Sal d’Es Trenc. The full-flavored mediterranean taste refines many Mediterranean dishes.
Since 2003 we have been harvesting Flor de sal on the island of Mallorca, every grain, every crystal, is harvested naturally by hand and sold pure and unrefined.
The Salinas d’Es Trenc are located inside an EU Protected Natural Area (Natural Parc Es Trenc - Salobrar de Campos) which is known to be one of the most beautiful landscapes of Mallorca with its unique flora and fauna. The overall area of the Salinas covers 154 hectares. The area is composed largely by pristine lakes and water cycles, with unique flora and fauna throughout, and also provides habitat for almost 150 different bird species. Our salt production is carried out in harmony with nature and thus contributes significantly to the conservation of the nature reserve. The result is a completely natural Mediterranean product that is harvested by hand, dried under the mediterranean sun and left completely untouched. Therefore all our salts are unrefined and completely free of any additives.
Since 2004, Flor de Sal d'Es Trenc has also been offering several Flor de Sal blends with selected ingredients. For the first time in Europe Fleur de Sel was marketed with herbs, fruits, spices. Since then, six exciting varieties have been part of our product family, supplemented by four seasonal salts with fresh seasonal products from the island. Flor de Sal d'Es Trenc is completely natural and organic, all of the ingredients are organically cultivated and most of them from local farms.
Since 2018 we also offer a snack range of products with Flor de Sal d’Es Trenc and Extra Virgin Olive Oil; roasted almonds and potato chips, which are also unique products in the market with all the ingredients involved in the production being 100% organically certified.
