Preserves are prepared from canned fruits and berries with sugar. Preserves are tasted with tea, spread on sandwiches and toast. Sometimes they are added to cakes, pastries, cottage cheese and yogurt. Unlike jelly, preserves ingredients don’t lose their shape. For the refinement of taste and smell of the preserve we can add nuts, lemon zest, rum, cherry leaves, honey, various spices (ginger, cinnamon, cloves, almonds).
