The first supply chain pasta produced with the semolina derived from the evolutionary population of durum wheat, made by Prof. Ceccarelli in 2009 in Syria, mixing 700 types of durum wheat obtained from crossings made at the ICARDA (International Center for Agricultural Research in Dry Areas); in Aleppo) using durum wheat varieties from all over the world including today's wheat progenitors.
