Organic and handcrafted ice cream made from sheep's milk? Where to find something like this? In the middle of Salzburg's old town you will find Austria's 1st organic sheep's milk ice cream parlor. The sheep milk ice cream is now also available via farm-gate sale and online-shop.
The organic sheep's milk specialties are produced in an artisan way at “Seegut Eisl”, a 500-year-old traditional farm at lake “Wolfgang” in Austria. For over 30 years, Sepp and Christine Eisl have been producing high-quality sheep's milk products in their own cheese dairy. The farm is officially certified organic and produces 100% organic specialities like cream cheese, yoghurt and particularly creamy ice cream. The ice cream production was established in year 2017.
Since April 2017, the Eisl family has been offering sheep's milk ice cream under the brand "EISL EIS" and opened Austria's 1st organic sheep's milk ice cream parlor in the old town of Salzburg, in Austria. In their first year as a newcomer in the ice-cream sector, they received an award for Austria's best ice cream specialty, as well as several national and international awards. The Eisl family have already received over 100 different international quality awards with their organic sheep milk specialties. At the BIOFACH fair 2018, the Eisl family will also be awarded the winner's prize of the "Great German cheese test 2017/2018" for their cream cheese with garlic.
WHERE ARE EISL PRODUCTS AVAILABLE?
The products can be found in delicatessen stores as well as in the top gastronomy and top hotels. In Austria the products are available from the wholesaler for top gastronomy called "Gourmets Express”.
Moreover, from spring 2018 EISL EIS will also be available for private consumer and gastronomic businesses via online shipping in Austria and Germany. Sheep´s milk ice cream can then be ordered and payed via the own online shop. The temperature-sensitive product will be shipped by means of a sustainable and sophisticated packaging. This ensures sustainability from production to distribution.
