GREEN BRANDS is an international, independent and autonomous brand evaluation organisation that awards the GREEN BRANDS Quality Seal of approval to ecologically sustainable brands. The seal of approval - including the procedure - has been an EU guarantee mark since the end of November 2019 and is internationally protected. It thus stands out enormously in terms of quality from hundreds of other so-called "seals of approval" and guarantees tested, genuine ecologically sustainable quality!

GREEN BRANDS are excellent brands of all industries and sizes in the B2B and B2C sectors, which demonstrably practice ecological sustainability and thus make a significant contribution to the environment and nature. They have either been successfully concerned with the sustainability of their actions since their inception, or they have recognised the need to break new ground in ecological and sustainable business management and are consistently implementing this.
GREEN BRANDS produce in an environmentally friendly way, always act with a view to their own co-responsibility for the preservation of natural resources and are highly committed to the preservation and balance of nature and sustainability.
The three-step procedure for the award is unique worldwide and is carried out every two years in cooperation with the international, scientific sustainability institute SERI as well as high-ranking and highly competent jury members.
Nomination - by means of market research, nomination by NGOs, interest groups, media partners, jury members and GREEN BRANDS itself, which has already received awards.
Validation - by means of scientifically prepared criteria catalogues, the status on the Green Brands Index is determined by experts.
Jury decision - final assessment of the validation evaluation and final authority for the recognition of the award.
GREEN BRANDS publishes the book of the award-winning brands of the respective country every two years and honours the brands at a gala event. A GREEN BRANDS personality is also honoured at this event.
GREEN BRANDS promotes the award-winning brands through broad and large-scale media cooperations in the B2B and B2C sector and thereby promotes brand awareness, acceptance and recognition among consumers, business colleagues and own employees.
The GREEN BRANDS Quality Seal is an internationally recognised decision criterion for purchasing and market behaviour in the B2B and B2C sectors.
Since 2011, after more than 450 validations, around 180 brands have already been awarded the seal. The organisation is well established in Austria and Germany as well as in Switzerland, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Further countries will follow
