The ECOPIONET Operating Group identifies organic production as an alternative of profitable and sustainable cultivation over time for the Spanish dry land since the current agriculture intensification is not sustainable over time at an environmental, economic and social level.
The aim is to obtain the adhesion of convinced farmers who have not yet taken the step by creating a reference group and follow them during the three years of conversion process. These pioneers have access to a multidisciplinary and integrated knowledge transfer plan designed to support them through continuous training and personalized advice.
Additionally, the pioneers are accompanied by farmers in the same situation, tutors (organic farmers), technicians and researchers through 4.0 platforms. Ultimately, they will be able to sell their certified organic produce.
