We are a Spanish company, growing and processing only teff. We also store the grain and transform into grain, flour, flakes and other products. Our products are geared to the gluten free, diet, sports and health products markets. About 10 years ago, we started to adapt the teff crop to the Spanish soil and weather conditions and now we have selected organic farmers all over the territory. All our products are processed in our own facilities that fulfill the latest EU Food Law. This means 100% traceability.
The strength of Cylteff is that all the farmers are totally integrated which means that they are monitored by our agronomists from sowing till harvest and that they are continually supported. We recommend the most efficient crop rotations in order to improve the quality and nutritional values of the teff and at the same time improve the soil conditions. Teff is a perfect crop to fight against salinization and desertification of the irrigated land on Spain.
Blonk (our commercial company) is now working with a broad variety of customers going from traditional ethnic (Ethiopian / Eritrean) food applications to bakery, healthy snack, pasta and meat replacement products. Because of the extremely high nutritional values of teff, we are working with universities and research institutes on clinical studies to enable us to make health claims on for example its usefulness against anemia.
