Il Nutrimento Srl, since 2005 is part of the Probios group, in turn composed of other 2 operative companies: the parent company Probios Spa and Probios Deutschland, based near Munich, Germany, and Biostock, specialized in the HoReCa channel.
Probios is the main company, Italian leader in the distribution of organic vegetarian products and for food intolerances. Based in Tuscany since 1978, it promotes and offers a wide range of organic products, in respect of the health and the environment.
In particular, Il Nutrimento, founded in 1990, is a manufacturing company that works with organic fresh vegetables, carefully cooked and flavored to create the typical products of the Italian food traditions. Il Nutrimento produces sauces, pestos, flavored oils, capers, bruschettas and spreadable creams with olives or veggies, using ancient craft methods to preserve the nutritional and organoleptic properties of the raw materials. Every recipe is inspired to the ancient family cook book, that collects every secret of the traditional cuisine.
The manufacturing center of Il Nutrimento has been moved from Cremosano (CR) to Calenzano (FI), where Probios has its own headquarters. The new up-to-date factory occupies 1750m2 and, with the holding company, it will be one of the biggest reference points of organics in Italy.
Provided with innovative and avant-garde equipment, the new complex includes 1100m2 of production space, 400m2 of warehouse and 250m2 of offices, guaranteeing a production capacity of approximately 4.000 pieces per hour and an overall investment of 1.5 million Euros.
A very important project for the company, that can boast a true short supply chain: cultivation, transformation and commercialization are mostly from Tuscany.
The company also creates private label products, mainly using raw materials harvested in Italy, ensuring short supply chain, a reduced impact on the environment and the promotion of organic Italian agriculture.
The production is certified by the Italian Vegetarian Association. Various products by Il Nutrimento are in the Italian Association for Celiac Disease handbook too.
Il Nutrimento has reached three new certifications in 2017: IFS Food Standard, which certifies compliance of all references of the line with the unified standards of quality assurance; BRC Global Standard for Food Safety, which demonstrates the company's ongoing commitment to safety, quality and compliance with the rules governing the agri-food sector and UNI EN ISO 9001:2015, which defines the company's correspondence with the standard which determines the requirements of the management system for the quality of the organization.
