The year 1989 marks the beginning of Raab Vitalfood’s success, when founding director Michael Raab established the company and introduced organic whey powder to the market, which was a unique product at the time. Raab was one of the first to import Himalayan salt, which is rich in minerals, from Pakistan’s Salt Range and went on to set numerous trends in the organic and health food industry, ever expanding the variety of goods to its current range of around 100 products.
Since then, Raab has become a household name for premium organic superfoods, vegan produce, and quality supplements. The majority of the company’s range of close to 100 products is manufactured on its own production site in Rohrbach close to Munich. An experienced and driven team of 50 handles all operations from procurement and production to quality control and marketing. A scientific approach to innovation as well as careful analysis and management of raw materials and ingredients are their top priorities.
In July 2015, Dr. Andreas Raab, the enterprise founder’s nephew, took over as managing director to continue this success story in the best tradition of the family-owned business. A trained bioengineer (Ph.D.), he shares his predecessor’s commitment to quality, innovation, variety, and continuity.
