Hierbei streift der Blick den Aargau, wo Barchef Andreas Kloke und Lorenz Humbel einen Gin der Extraklasse für die Szene-Bar kreierten: Frische Noten von Orangen, Mandarinen und etwas Wacholder in der Nase. Würzige Aromen von Thymian, Salbei, Harz und Kardamom im Gaumen, abgerundet mit einen dezenten Hauch von fruchtiger Süße. Faszinierend, wie die verschiedenen Zutaten miteinander harmonieren.
In 1918 with the construction of the distillery chimney, Max Humbel created the basis for the distilling plant in Stetten, a village in the Canton of Aargau, not far from Zurich. Since 1991 the distillery has been under the control of the third generation: Lorenz Humbel, proprietor and managing director, and his cousin Beat Humbel as fruit farmer and master distiller. The two of them have established orchards in Stetten for their own production. 2004 saw the old distillery being converted, extended and brought up to the state of art.
At Humbel, tradition and innovation go hand in hand: classic Swiss schnapps are nurtured with the same care and devotion as single cherry varieties and organic distillates. The Stetten distillery has been a pioneer in these two areas of activity. Awards won at national and international competitions bear witness to the high esteem in which it is held. Further Humbel is importing and exporting several organic and Fair Trade spirits from all over the world.
