❗️Antioxidants. Berries are rich in antioxidants which may protect body cells from free radical damage. They are good for skin health.
❗️ There is a lot of fiber in the packaging. 40g of granola contains 23% of fiber. Fiber helps to control blood sugar and helps to maintain healthy weight.
❗️ Our granola does not contain oats. Most oats contain gluten (due to cross-contamination) and contain a protein avenin related to gluten. Some people with gluten intolerance have health problems when eating oats. Those who exceed recommended portions and eat oats daily are also at risk group.
❗️There is no oat flakes, rice, buckwheat puffs or other refined ingredients in our granola. Flakes, puffs are the products that has been processed under high temperature multiple times. How is oat flakes made? The first time the oat grain is steamed to remove its shell, then it is dry heated at high temperatures to destroy the enzyme, which contributes to rancidity during shelf-life. The purified grain of oats contains no moisture, so they can be easily broken during the rolling process. Before rolling manufacturer has to steam oats for 20-30 minutes to increase moisture level. Then, flakes are dry heated once again to get rid of excess humidity (otherwise mold will grow). At each stage of production, most nutrients and enzymes are lost.
We recommend to serve berry granola with plant milk, yoghurt, kefir.
