The firm cooking table potato variety "Violetta" combines a pleasant and strong taste with a beautifully shaped, long-oval tuber. Violetta is a lilac-skinned, purple-fleshed and medium-early potato variety. It has a high content of anthocyanins, these vegetable colourings can be beneficial to health. The variety is very robust against iron spotting and black spotting. The variety has been approved by the Bundessortenamt since 2012 and is also on the EU list.
