After he had built his first gingerbread house at the age of 12, Klaus Hanauer knew that he would become a patissier. He spent his apprentice years at the renowned Konditorei Oberlaa and worked at a number of first-class establishments and hotels in Austria and Switzerland.
From 1994 Klaus Hanauer and his team have specialized in fancy and very unusual cakes for weddings, birthdays and other anniversaries, high-quality convenience products as well as pastries and desserts for 5-star hotels. In between, Klaus Hanauer worked in other countries – Austrian Weeks in Egypt, Pakistan or Canada - , wrote books, contributed to food magazines and appeared in shows on Austrian TV.
In 2009 Klaus Hanauer established his new facility in Vienna-Rodaun, specializing in organic products only with a focus on premium organic chocolates. The more than 40 chocolate bar varieties are hand-made; the best varieties of cocoa are mixed by Bio-Konditorei Hanauer itself. The chocolate fillings partly come from Hanauer’s own garden, for instance the famous apricots from the Wachau. Bio-Konditorei Hanauer refrains from using stabilizers, chemical preserving agents or flavor enhancers.Premium organic chocolate and art blend to become a true lifestyle product!New are chocolates without off sugar and chocolates sweetened with coconut blossom sugar.
At the novelty stand we present CBD hemp cookies, brownies and chocolates and spoon cakes in jars.
Further lifestyle products have successfully been launched as Hanauer’s muesli cake, Mozart and Sacher cake in the zip&eat can. Apart from gugelhupf, brownie, chocolate soufflé, apple strudel and wholemeal bread also rhum-, mozart chocolate balls and Cheese bakery is now available.
All canned minicakes are free of artificial aromas, preserving agents, taste enhancers, genetic engineering or white sugar. Thanks to the innovative sealing system minicakes have a shelf life of 18 months.
