Balade en Provence is an organic, zero-waste cosmetics company founded in Provence that makes vegan, beauty bars for the hair, face, and body.
The name Balade en Provence means "a walk or stroll in Provence" and the innovative cosmetics company makes sensorial solid products that reflect the artistry, fragrances, and flora of the region.
COMPANY MISSION
Balade en Provence wants people to give up their liquid products—the company calls this mission the "Move to Solid" movement.
Most liquid personal care products contain more than 80% water, chemical preservatives, and plastic packaging. Balade en Provence makes products that are rich, natural, and ecological alternatives to these liquid products.
BALADE EN PROVENCE PRODUCTS
All Balade en Provence beauty bars are certified organic, certified vegan, and packaged in zero-waste, 100% compostable boxes.
Their bars are handmade with care and patience in France using a saponification process called the "cold process." Balade en Provence artisans create a blend of rich natural oils and organic ingredients. Their bars are left to "rest" on wooden shelves for 30 days, to allow the oils to blend and mature.
This nearly heatless process also allows the ingredients in our bars to retain their natural properties.

Balade en Provence is increasingly receiving international industry recognition for its products. Notably, the brand's "Extra-kind Shaving Bar" was a Pure Beauty Global Awards 2019 finalist and "Men's Invigorating Solid Shampoo" won the French Cosmetics Award 2019 for "Best Natural Product."
