BEE-BREAD in organic quality from Propolia®

Propolia® has chosen the best of bee-bread coming from European beekeepers and in organic quality. Little known in central Europe and also called ‘fermented pollen’, bee-bread is another treasure from the beehive alongside propolis, honey, royal jelly and bee pollen.
What is bee-bread?
Bee-bread is fermented pollen. Thanks to the fermentation process the pollen is preserved. On their third pair of legs, the bees transport pollen into their honeycombs where they are tamped and form the hexagonal shape of the cells. In the honeycomb cell the bees surround the bee-bread with a layer of propolis. The bees feed on bee-bread in times of food shortage and also use it for the rearing of the offspring.  With sufficient food and good weather they resort to fresh bee pollen.

Not only for bees, but also for humans, bee-bread is a tasty, biologically active, healthy food: bee-bread contains many filling proteins, energy-providing sugars, amino acids, minerals, vitamins and other first-class ingredients. It is recommended as a preventative or nutritional supplement to support the immune system, the metabolism, the digestive system...
